What kind of girl are you? (with pix!)

You're the high fashion trendsetter. You're confident, independent, outgoing, and love attention. You might become a star one day. All the girls like to follow in your foot steps because you're so cool, fashionable, and don't care about anything. You make the rules, never follow. But please be sure not to act bitchy. That could be bad. But keep the attitude. That's what makes you, you.

Now playing : Judy Zhou Ding Wei - Dong Feng Po

Judy is one of the contestants of a singing competition in Taiwan (Xing Guang Da Dao). He came in second in the competition that ended in July 07, losing only to Yoga Lin You Jia.

Shockingly both guys have rather feminine names, which I believe is the direct translation from the Chinese pronounciation of their names. [Judy = Zhou Ding ; Yoga - You Jia]

Judy is also known as the Taiwan version of Rain as he is the only one who can handle fast songs singing and dancing in the competition. He's got good rhythm and dance moves. Not only that, he also looks up to Rain and hope to be as good as him. Which is also why they nicknamed him Zhou Ding Rain.

    (Updated on 9th September 2007, 5.36pm)

The song may take quite some time to load as the file size is pretty big. I apologise for the inconvenience. Pls be patient. There is also a play button for u to manipulate around as well at the top of the page for convenience sake. :o)

Songs played on this website in the past:

_ Jolin Tsai - Ting Shuo Ai Qing Hui Lai Guo

The original singer for this song is Sandy Lam. Jolin's rendition of this 90's hit gives it a pretty modern feel with its new song arrangement. I love both Jolin and Sandy version. The lyrics is beautiful.

_ Yong Er - Gan Ying
(Cantonese Version of Lin Fan's Wo Yi Ge Ren Sheng Huo)

Yong Er is one of the contestants in Superstars. She is also a VJCian. Born a Singaporean, became a singer in Hong Kong.

_ He Yi Qi - Bie Teng Wo

I don''t really know the nationality of this singer. I just find her song very pleasing to the ears on a taiwan website. Most probably she is a taiwanese ba...

_ 7 Flowers - Wo Zhi Xiang Yao (I Only Want To Be With You)

This very nice song is taken from the soundtrack of the taiwan idol drama, 'The Prince who turns into a Frog' (Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa). It is sung by 7 Flowers (Qi Duo Hua) who are artistes under the Jurgiery Stars Co. I was initially entralled by the magical encounters that happens between the male & female leads in the show. However I still got addicted in the end to a somehow typical love story that depicts a hidden fairy tale with a happy ending. The lines written for this drama is pretty sweet. WARNING : Lots of promises were made. I have to admit I was very much enticed by the very sweet yet manly voice of the male lead, Ming Dao.

_ Michael Guang Liang - Tong Hua

_ Vic Zhou & Barbie Xu Xi Di - MARS OST - Rang Wo Ai Ni

Borrowed 'MARS' from Amanda. Got addicted to the LOVE between Chen Ling & Han Qi Luo. A beautiful tragedy with a happy ending. Sub-theme for this idol drama - Let me Love you

_ Utada Hikaru - First Love

_ Ah Sang - The Rose (Track 4 of the 'The Rose' OST)

Watched idol drama 'The Rose' during my vacation. Got hooked on that show. Now I shall recommend u to listen to one of the songs in the soundtrack. It will bring across my feelings if u have actually watched the show. Thanks to Cheryl who lend me the VCD. Muy Grasias cuz I have been trying all means to borrow from another fren but to no avail.

    _ Bowling for Soup - 1985

Took a slight turn to likings for Punk Rock. Heard this song on Perfect 10 one nite during the late nite revision in campus with Cyn, Lydz & Sherli.
This song is re-released in an album call "A Hangover That You Don't Deserve" by a Rock band called Bowling For Soup.

_ Sheena Easton - Almost Over You

This song is indeed very nice. I recommend all of u to listen to it.
It has a pretty meaningful meaning to it. It omoz speaks of the feeling I'm undergoing rit now. Pretty sad isn't it? Lolx

_ JJ Lin Jun Jie - Hui You Na Me Yi Tian

_ Vaness Wu - Wu Ye Chang De Dian Ying

19 Jan 2005 - Wonderful Tales of Wisdom

    19 January 2005

    12.44pm

wonderful tales of wisdom, makes very good reading...
    enjoy..

    1) The Pretty Lady

Once upon a time a big monk and a little monk were travelling together. They
came to the bank of a river and found the bridge damaged. They had to wade across
the river. There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and
couldn't cross the river. The big monk offered to carry the pretty lady across the
river on his back. The lady accepted. The little monk was shocked by the move of the
big monk. "How can big disciple brother carry a lady when we are supposed to
avoid all intimacy with females?" thought the little monk. But he kept quiet.
The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed
unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk let the lady down and they parted
    ways with her.

All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the
act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about the big monk
in his head. This got him madder and madder. But he still kept quiet. And the
big monk had no inclination to explain his situation. Finally, at a rest point
many hours later, the little monk could not stand it any further, he burst out
angrily at the big monk. "How can you claim yourself a devout monk, when you seize the
first opportunity to touch a female, especially when she is very pretty? All your
teachings to me make you a big hypocrite."

The big monk looked surprised and said, "I had put down the pretty lady at the
river bank many hours ago, how come you are still carrying her along?"

[This very old Chinese zen story reflects the thinking of many people today.
We encounter many unpleasant things in our life, they irritate us and they make
us angry. Sometimes, they cause us a lot of hurt, sometimes they cause us to be
bitter or jealous. But like the little monk, we are not willing to let them go
away. We keep on carrying the baggage of the "pretty lady" with us. We let
them keep on coming back to hurt us, make us angry, make us bitter and cause us a
Lot of agony. Why? Simply because we are not willing to put down or let go of the
baggage of the "pretty lady". We should let go of the pretty lady immediately
after crossing the river,  immediately after the unpleasant event is over.
This will immediately remove all our agonies. There is no need to be further hurt
by the unpleasant event after it is over. It is just that simple.]

    2) The Frogs

A farmer came into town and asked the owner of a restaurant if he could use a
million frog legs. The restaurant owner was hocked and asked the man where he
could get so many frog legs! The farmer replied, "There is a pond near my
house that is full of frogs --- millions of them. They croak all night long and they
are about to make me crazy!" So the restaurant owner and the farmer made an
agreement that the farmer would deliver frogs to the restaurant, five hundred
at a time for the next several weeks. The first week, the farmer returned to the
restaurant looking rather sheepish, with two scrawny little frogs. The
restaurant owner said, "Well... where are all the frogs?" The farmer said, "I was
mistaken. There were only these two frogs in the pond. But they sure were making a lot
    of noise!"

[Next time you hear somebody criticizing or making fun of you, remember, it's
probably just a couple of noisy frogs. Also remember that problems always seem
bigger in the dark. Have you ever laid in your bed at night worrying about
things which seem almost overwhelming like a million frogs croaking? Chances are
pretty good that when the morning comes, and you take a closer look, you'll wonder
what all the fuss was about.]

    3) The Turtles

A turtle family decided to go on a picnic. Turtles, being naturally slow about
things, took seven years to prepare for their outing. Finally the turtle
family left home looking for a suitable place for their outing. During the second
year of their journey they found a place ideal for them at last! For about six
months they cleaned up the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the
arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic
without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed. After a lengthy discussion, the
youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the
fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and
    wobbled in his shell.

He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned.

The family consented and the little turtle left. Three years passed and the
little turtle had not returned. Five years... six years... then on the seventh
year of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He
announced that he was going to eat and begun to unwrap a sandwich. At that
point the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, "SEE! I
knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go get the salt."

[Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectations.
We are so concerned about what others are doing that we don't do anything
    ourselves.]

    Ivy called at 10+am.

    測試

測試 (This is typed in a Chinese Simplified browser. Thus it can be viewed.)

I think I know why my latest post (The prayers) have to be viewed using Chinese Traditional encoding le...

Cuz my default encoding for my blog is Chinese Simplified.
So whenever u open my page, u will be automatically switch to Chinese Simplified encoding.
I do this to make it easy for u.
Last time my default is English one. But English only cant view Chinese characters.
So I switch to Chinese encoding for u, cuz can oso view English characters.

Then the lastest post  (The prayers) I type is done in a browser that is Chinese Traditional encoded, so it turns out that it can only be viewed in a Chinese Traditional browser. But like I said I have set it to a Chinese Simplified browser for u. So all u have to do, to view what me & my senior's lot is in Chinese, is to go to your browser menu, click on View, scroll down to Encoding & select Chinese Traditional (Big 5).

Alternatively, I will repost one more time (See 'The Prayers Repost').
So u can see the differences & clear ur doubt on "What the hell is Kait talking abt?? So technical..."
    (See below for clarification)

Finally, nitez... It's 2.27am now le... *Yawn* :(

    His lot reads :

    第二十八簽 ﹕ 中

    等待雲開   便見收穫

    古人 ﹕ 李後尋包公

    午宮 ﹕

    Lot No. 28 : Average

"The moon rises in the east, so full of grace and beauty; Concealed from sight, but still in place. Sometimes rising, sometimes full, it runs its course. Gossips are still gossips not a word of truth they say."

    Explanation of the lot :

Once the cloud disperse, all things will be clear & forward move. The moon is overshadowed by clouds, so all things seem unsecure, sim & unsettled. The cloud that covers the moon is only fleeting; so don't worry or draw back. It will soon pass.

    Cause & Action :
    • Worry reigns at home but you can pray for your personal safety.
    • Business transaction looks promising, but obstacles are on the way.
    • Marriage arrangements cannot succeed.
    • Pregnancy will incur risk.
    • A bad year for farming & silk industry.
    • Travellers will meet with hardship.
    • The missing will not be found.
    • Lost things can be found in the West.
    • Lawsuits are unfavourable. Migration or moving is not advised.
    • The sick cannot recover.

    Lot No. 18 : Good

"Far in the horizon, the Crow falls, the Rabbit rises; Day & Night succeed each other since the world began. Believe in Buddha & the Tao, all is wisdom. Be you scholar or peasant, worker or merchant.''

    Explanation of the lot :

Remain calm in heart, all you look for can be achieved. An arrow once shot from its bow can pierce asunder all the way through. Rising & setting of the sun & the moon symbolize the ups & downs of human life. Harmony between sun & moon is a sign of prosperity.

    Cause & Action :
    • You & your family will be safe & secure.
    • Business will go on smoothly bringing profits to you.
    • Marriage plans require negotiation.
    • A son will be born.
    • Start farming & rearing silkworm early for better profits.
    • Cattle raising is not favourable.
    • The traveller will arrive safely.
    • The missing person will soon be found.
    • Things lost will be found late in the year.
    • Lawsuits will be favourable.
    • Migration or house moving is recommended.
    • Set up an altar to pray & get rid of the evil spirits for the sick.
    • Ancestral graves will be blessed.
After going to the temple, I feel so much at ease.
For the past 3 weeks, I have been pretty troubled by my decision to drop out.
I like the peace & serenity that Buddhism gives out.
Maybe saying my prayers does help.

I hope Senior found his inner peace too... & put all the unhappy things behind him.
Let him have a smooth-sailing year ahead. God bless.

Yah... I haven start work. Pretty scare lah...
Mom keeps reminding me what to look out for.
She says muz find out the dress code, the OT pay rate & the salary increment.
I keep thinking that I wun stay too long on this job.

Haiz... That's me lah... Always thinking on the negative aspect of life.
But then again, can oso say that I am juz a person who think of the worst case lo... So I can be mentally prepared for it mah...

Way before I entered NTU, I oreadi mentally prepare myself for this day where I drop out lah... Hahaha... Old habits die hard lah... Kekeke...

K... Lets drop this dull topic.
By the way, I have written quite a lot today lah...
Shud go zZz le... Cuz I am waiting for Ivy's call tml. I am expecting her call in the morning lah... So muz zZz early to wake up early tml lo...
    Nitez!

By the way, juz wanna add.
Why am I blogging until so many lately?
Like almost 3 posts per day... Hahaha...

Cuz I scare once I start work, cant blog much le...
Oso thru this, u all can get updates of what I am doing these few days before I start work.
    I wasn't slacking ok? :(

Xianz... Once start work, gotta go back to my good sleeping habits liaoz...
Work till 6pm, come home either is I have no more energy to go online or I rather spend my time on my new TV + set.
Relaxation, yes, but not in the form of blogging.

U know how much time & jing shen blogging can take up? (Yes, I can blog till Zou Huo Ru Mo one...)

Juz plainly the content itself will take up omoz 3 hrs if it's a long post.
(U can tell by spotting my start time with I usually type at the beginning of a post, then check the time again when I post at the end near the comments link.) *Last min added in*

Cuz blogging is an activity done while your tots are been generated. Not as if u have a script nicely written out.
(I have tot of writting it out like a journel before transferring it onto my blog before. But it will be much more work than this, I calculated. So I turn to jotting down main points while I was on the MRT or whenever I am free. Still I have to rephrase it before it is presented to u guys out there.)

U type wat comes to ur mind. So if u happen to rem something u left out, u gotta insert it before u con't the typing again.

Following that, u still have to check the spelling & grammer.
Cuz I wan my readers to understand the content I wanna bring across & I dun wish to have any misunderstanding. Eg, if I plagerize, I will credit it back to the author.
Oso sometimes, some sentence I type doesnt sound rit - expression-wised & politically-correct-wised.
So I will re-read & re-read that sentence (or sometimes a whole paragraph) to adjust it.

After typing the content, I still make sure I 'beautify' it by formatting it. Eg, adding bullets, indentation, where to have <br>, etc...
Sometimes after publishing, there will be some viewing problems.
I always make sure my blog is in place before I hit the [X] on my browser. Eg, Chinese character cant be read.

You can say I am very 'mao' (fussy) abt my work.
Bear in mind this is the way I work.
That is oso why I can score very well in projects.
I have too much eyes for details. Someone used to tell me that.
Oh! Is my Laselle teacher... Haha... *Suddenly rems, so insert*
He complains I spent too much time on details when its impt not to neglect the details AND oso dun overlook the big picture.
I can spot flaws like ants to an elephant ratio.

So most of my procrastination time goes to this blog. It can be considered my heart & blood. I cant imagine what I do if this place crashes. Hahaha... Choy choy choy... *Touch wood*

    Shall stop now.
Thou' I haven edit fin, my eyes are protesting liaoz...
They are shutting down any moment now. Gtg...
The time now is 3.00am sharp.
Last word of today - 18 Jan 2005 is on this post, not abv. Abv is what I typed juz now. Yah... I jump here jump there edit one. I see which post needs refine, I will edit lo, u see...
    Really gtg liaoz... Nitez!
Will check back this post tml to see if I flaw in any way.

P/S : A reminder > Transfer hp fotos to laptop.

    • Worry reigns at home but you can pray for your personal safety.
    • Business transaction looks promising, but obstacles are on the way.
    • Marriage arrangements cannot succeed.
    • Pregnancy will incur risk.
    • A bad year for farming & silk industry.

17 Jan 2005 - EM Services Pte Ltd

    17 January 2005

    5.28pm

Yes, this is gonna be the company that I will be working in SOON.

    Why I say soon?
Cuz I haven start work lo...

Today I went online early cuz Ivy called at 10am. Cun get back to zZz thereafter.
Mum keep doubting whether I got this job. How to reassure her when I dunno abt it myself?
My 1st time working leh... I dunno how the management works oso lo...

There is a NTUC career seminar on Wed & I am intending to go. I hope it wun clash with my appointment to sign my appointment letter.

I am thinking of baking cake tml or on Wed. Wonder who will be the lucky one to taste my cake. Haha... Anyway, I am meeting them for dinner on Wed. (them = my khakis)

    My khakis

    • Peiyi (Shirley)
    • Wanwei (Amanda)
    • Shiling (Serena)
    • Yanling (Jae)
    • Huifen (Janice)
    • Huiping (Joey)
    • Siling (Sheryl)
While I was online today, I had a great chat with Senior.
He is back in town for his vacation & CNY.
But he is sort of down on his luck in the year 2004.
I hope his luck change for the beta this year.
Senior, go Chinatown buy 'Feng Che'. It will help to change luck aka 'Zhuan Yun'.
I have 2 at home. I buy dunno last year or the year before.
U wan, I can gib u one. Haha...

Then I read the news online. I learned quite some vocab today.
I juz realised my engrish standard is so low... OMG!
    Cannot! I muz do something.
So I took out a pen & my notebook & start to check all the words that I dunno.
This is my old habit whenever I came across unfamiliar words.

    • pedestal : An architectural support or base, as for a column or statue; A support or foundation; A position of high regard or adoration.

    • raunchy : Obscene, lewd, or vulgar; Sexually explicit; Exhibiting lust; Grimy, unkempt.

    • impervious : Incapable of being penetrated: a material impervious to water; Incapable of being affected: impervious to fear.

I hope u guys learn as much as I did today.
Learning good english is oso part of my plan of upgrading myself.
We learn while we live. (Does that happen to be PJC's motto? Kekeke...)

I oso realise nowadays on HOME news is so 'Shi Feng Ri Xia'. Go read the Newpaper Online if u dun get wat I mean. Haiz... All the negative news on the press is making my day pretty down.

On the WORLD news, the Ren Ci team (including artistes) have reached Sri Lanka with part of the funds pledged to the Tsunami victims. The article on Newpaper online is very heart-warming & heart-wrenching at the same time. Read up the one on 'the smiles of the victims'.

Meanwhile I quote out some of the nicer phrase here.
    • 'I think it's the simplicity and contention of life, something we've lost in a closed-up society.'

    • 'They are beyond the depression stage. It's about moving on. Maybe we represent the hope.'

    • 'Expectations are usually wrong.'

    • 'It turned out that the devastation was not the surprise - it was the smiles.'
Other than all those above, today I did some fortune-telling quiz/test. Pretty fun! Those below are some of the results. I come across them while I was searching for some astrology websites for Senior. He cannot imagine why he is so down on his luck last year. I hope 2005 is smooth-sailing for him.

    #1
    • LOVE : high self-esteem, never take the active role even you like someone.
    • MONEY : you are quite flamboyant indeed.
    • CAREER : cautious, when there is a chance, you will think twice before taking any action. but then you lose a lot of opportunities.
    • FAMILY : long for stable and warm family.
    • WISH : despite you appear to be confident, you actually feel inferior to others.

    #2

    • Personality : You always worry about your health.
    • Work : You are over-sensitive and inconfident. You are likely to work in the same job for your whole life.
    • Money : You are sensible and can keep savings.
    • Friends : You are particular in picking your friends.

You can do those tests/quizzes too.
They are all available on the Little Astrology Prince.

    Pisces Personality

Pisces is one of the less flamboyant signs. Pisceans are gentle, patient, malleable, generous, friendly, creative and sensitive to others' feelings. They are easygoing and affectionate and are deservedly popular with all kinds of people. Pisceans are escapists and usually wait for problems to sort themselves out rather than take the initiative to solve them. They tend to be too otherworldly for the practical purposes of living. Their concentration is weak and easily withdraw into a dream world. They exist emotionally rather than rationally, instinctively more than intellectually.

    Pisces Love

Pisceans are never egotistical in their personal relationships and they give more than ask. Most pisceans would want a relationship in which the partner's mind and spirit rather than the body resonated with their own. They are intensely loyal and home-loving and will remain faithful - though their dreamy and impractical natures do not fit them to keep a tidy and well-run house.

    Pisces Work

Pisceans are better working either by themselves or in subordinate positions. They would be afraid to manage more than a small department, worrying always that they would fail in a crisis. Occupations which can express their creativeness or sympathy suit them most. These include charities catering, nurses, veterinary surgeons, astronomers, travelers, architects and lawyers.
