Judy is one of the contestants of a singing competition in Taiwan (Xing Guang Da Dao). He came in second in the competition that ended in July 07, losing only to Yoga Lin You Jia.
Shockingly both guys have rather feminine names, which I believe is the direct translation from the Chinese pronounciation of their names. [Judy = Zhou Ding ; Yoga - You Jia]
Judy is also known as the Taiwan version of Rain as he is the only one who can handle fast songs singing and dancing in the competition. He's got good rhythm and dance moves. Not only that, he also looks up to Rain and hope to be as good as him. Which is also why they nicknamed him Zhou Ding Rain.

This very nice song is taken from the soundtrack of the taiwan idol drama, 'The Prince who turns into a Frog' (Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa). It is sung by 7 Flowers (Qi Duo Hua) who are artistes under the Jurgiery Stars Co. I was initially entralled by the magical encounters that happens between the male & female leads in the show. However I still got addicted in the end to a somehow typical love story that depicts a hidden fairy tale with a happy ending. The lines written for this drama is pretty sweet. WARNING : Lots of promises were made. I have to admit I was very much enticed by the very sweet yet manly voice of the male lead, Ming Dao.

The HQ HR dept is taking forever to approve my letter of appointment lo...
Timeline:
- 4 Jan - Went job agency hunting.
- 5 Jan - Jesslyn from Niche Agency called up to ask me go for an interview.
- 6 Jan - Went for the interview @ Jurong East.
- 11 Jan - Ivy from EM Services HQ called up to confirm my position in the company. Told me it will take 3-5 working days for the GM to sign my letter of appointment.
- 17 Jan - Ivy from EM Services called up again. She says GMs all not ard these few days. She says she will call again on Wednesday.
Haiz... All these hassle has robbed me of my high paying temp job as data entry clerk at $11/hr!!!
Today I went online early cuz Ivy called at 10am. Cun get back to zZz thereafter.
Mum keep doubting whether I got this job. How to reassure her when I dunno abt it myself?
My 1st time working leh... I dunno how the management works oso lo...

There is a NTUC career seminar on Wed & I am intending to go. I hope it wun clash with my appointment to sign my appointment letter.

I oso realise nowadays on HOME news is so 'Shi Feng Ri Xia'. Go read the Newpaper Online if u dun get wat I mean. Haiz... All the negative news on the press is making my day pretty down.
On the WORLD news, the Ren Ci team (including artistes) have reached Sri Lanka with part of the funds pledged to the Tsunami victims. The article on Newpaper online is very heart-warming & heart-wrenching at the same time. Read up the one on 'the smiles of the victims'.
Meanwhile I quote out some of the nicer phrase here.
- 'I think it's the simplicity and contention of life, something we've lost in a closed-up society.'
- 'They are beyond the depression stage. It's about moving on. Maybe we represent the hope.'
- 'Expectations are usually wrong.'

Lately, the news on TV is all on the Tsunami.
All the donation drives...

Becuz of this, the firework display for the light-up ceremony was cut short.
The reason being we can't be in a happy mood & celebrate when ppl are suffering in Aceh, Sri Lanka & Phuket...
What caught my attn more is local news.
Not that I am heartless or what... I am helpless when it comes to charity.
I dun mind doing volunteer work.
Yesterday, I caught a local news that says the government is thinkong of implementing a new law.
Banning smoking in more public area - hawker centres & pubs/clubs.
I am delighted.
Sorry to all smokers out there.
But I am sort of allergic to smoke.
Call me selfish.
I know u smokers have 'reasons' for smoking.
U oso wanna fight for ur freedom in smoking.
But u muz know, I am not a willing party for passive smoking.
So does alot of non-smokers out there like me.
U may grumble that becuz of us, non-smokers keep complaining, u guys have lesser space for smoking.
But have u consider that we have put up with flying smoke when we are consuming our food?
All of us have our own stand.
My stand is I am more than happy if this new rule is implemented.
I will open champagne to celebrate.
I hope it will not take 10 years to implement this law.
Today's local news that caught my attn is infuriating!
A gal who applied for a transfer of sch was refused entry when the sch saw that she is overweight!
The new sch approved her application for a transfer of sch.
But when the gal went down to sign the consent letter, the principal is shocked to see her build.
She refused her application due to the following reason:
- She is not within the STANDARD IDEAL WEIGHT for her height.
- She did not pass Mathematics.
I wanna let u know that being OVERWEIGHT is not our FAULT.
We also do not wish to be a ugly, fat dinosaur!!
If given a choice, which gal dun wan to be pretty & slim??
Tell me & I will go confront her...
If she exists, comestic muz be the biggest joke in the world of creation/invention.
Dun tell me is becuz I did not take care of my diet & exercise & all those fuckin' bullshits.
I dun take that. I believe that all ppl have the rights to lead the life the way they wan it. Be it healthy or not...

The sch took back the gal after the mum complain abt it.

How can u worry abt upsetting the number of overweight students in the sch & took away a chance for the gal to study? Why does the gal wanna switch to your sch? She muz have a reason for doing so, if not why does she wan to go to your sch? U tink it's for fun? Imagine all the paperwork she gotta go thru... Wat a selfish reason, SCHOOL!!
If u say is becuz she did not pass mathematics, then teach until she passes! That is what a school is for!! School teaches us VALUES. How good is this sch morally? This sch failed Civics & Moral, I tell u... I rem I fail my History all the time. But Mr Joseph never gives up hope on me, even till the last min. That is wat I call a good teacher. She is so young, only 15. It's not like she is 50 & cant be taught well to pass maths. U din even give her that chance to learn.
Last but not least, I hope an explanation is given even though the sch have 'accepted' the gal & the gal have decided to let thismatter rest.
If I am her, my pride will go way beyond.
I wun BEG this sch to take me in.
I dun wan to study in a sch that despises me juz becuz I am FAT!

Ehem... (Clear my throat) AHhhh... I feel so relieve now.
No matter what I said above is true or juz plain lies, it doesnt really matter now.
Cuz no matter who hears of my case, they will think this way - I neglect my studies.
& I DID NOT disagree.
So now no matter who ask me, I will say becuz I play n play n neglect my studies.
Cuz I know that is the happy answer that they are looking for, thou' they pity my situation yet think likewise. That is what I call 'Biao Li Bu Yi'.
People who knows me long enuff knows what happened to me.
My closest frenz dun know, but they are very understanding.
Cuz I never tell them what really happen.
I have checked out NTU Arts school.
I will take 4 years to complete a degree with honours.
Unlike NUS where u can choose to do that optional one year of honours.
If I am to hit back on my books again, it will not be a 4 yrs one.
If all full time degree takes more than 2 years, I will do part time.
I have researched on this. One fren told me with work exp, I can do a part time deg in 18 mths.
I seriously dun mind. Is juz a paper at the end.
In fact, I dun mind telling u that I am contented with what I have now.
It is more impt to get a job with a good prospect & learning exp, than a mundane one after getting a 3rd class deg.
Dear frenz, if u are reading to find out how I am now.
All I can say is I am fine. (Fine means I am not crying literally.)
I have gotten a job. Not with the banks.
My new job is very complicated. It comes with alot of commitment - contract-based.
So if any of my application with DBS, UOB, OCBC, POSB, Maybank, Citibank & Standard Chartered is selected, I dunno I will cry anot cuz I cant quit as & when as I like.
I dun intend to get back to my books in the short term. (Short term means 1-2 years time.)
I dun intend to do a deg for above 3 yrs. Wanna find the shortest cut poss. Call me a daydreamer for all I care. U muz be thinking I have no qualifications, wat can I achieve rit?
Tell u, I dun mind doing dip again. But have to be part time, cuz I am working.
In fact no cert I also dun care. But I emphasize alot on good career progress. I wanna ugrade myself & learn new stuffs. I dun need a paper to tell ppl 'Hey, I know how to do this & that.'
Last, wat field I am going to study depends on wat job I am doing.
I wan a cert that helps my career. Call me too xian shi, but I have been a dreamers for years & I cant do that anymore. I know I cant do mass comm anymore. Ideals cant get me too far.

I am supposed to wake up my ideas man...
Hmmm... Where am I to go from here now?
What shud I do?
I enquired with Dr Francesco. He encourages me to do Arts & Humanities in NTU.
Quite interested. I will do my follow-up on it soon.
I haven really 'woken up'.
Cuz I still have no idea where to go.
In the meantime, I will be a 'Jack-of-all-trade' taking up short courses at I go along.
Today, I went to get my 21" TV with the 5.1 Home Theatre DVD System at PS Best Denki.
Cuz my small uncle works there. I got it at a very low price of $648. It will be delivered on next Tues.
Today, I oso pack & clean my room.
I have revamped it into a cosy room with all the gadgets.
"I know how to enjoy life even before I know how to make $$$" My mum says.
Now I have turned it into a mini movie theatre.
With my work station & Tv/Home theatre sys side by side. Hahaha...
Next target : Digicam
Once I have it, I will take some pics of my room again.
My birthday is omoz coming, thou' still have 2 mths to go...
I haven really think of wat I wan this year.
But I have decided against the nitemare before christmas stool that I wanted SOOO MUCH for the past 2 years... Cuz it is gonna mismatch my room's 'cool gadget' look. I saw the nitemare before christmas watch liaoz... I tink it will spoil v quickly under my usage cuz I very chor lor one... So I dun tink I wan that too thou' it costs $49.
I need a sling bag for outdoor/casual purposes. All my sling bags are either too big eg. A4 size or too small eg. B5 size. But my mum tinks I have too many bags at home liaoz...
So rit now, I am aiming for those soft fluffy teddies at Taka or Kalm's or Forever Frenz... Hahaha...
Heng I haven set eyes on Precious Moment yet. If not I will be declared a bankrupt soon, given my very bad shopping habits...
That time, I saw one teddy I like alot but now I cant recall where I saw it liaoz... Haiz...
Then the most xianz part is I dunno where I wanna go.
Shall I juz have lunch then maybe go for a movie?
Or u guys serious on the camping thing? I dun tink I can survive another camping trip in ECP.
Or perhaps a dinner with...?
