Judy is one of the contestants of a singing competition in Taiwan (Xing Guang Da Dao). He came in second in the competition that ended in July 07, losing only to Yoga Lin You Jia.
Shockingly both guys have rather feminine names, which I believe is the direct translation from the Chinese pronounciation of their names. [Judy = Zhou Ding ; Yoga - You Jia]
Judy is also known as the Taiwan version of Rain as he is the only one who can handle fast songs singing and dancing in the competition. He's got good rhythm and dance moves. Not only that, he also looks up to Rain and hope to be as good as him. Which is also why they nicknamed him Zhou Ding Rain.

This very nice song is taken from the soundtrack of the taiwan idol drama, 'The Prince who turns into a Frog' (Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa). It is sung by 7 Flowers (Qi Duo Hua) who are artistes under the Jurgiery Stars Co. I was initially entralled by the magical encounters that happens between the male & female leads in the show. However I still got addicted in the end to a somehow typical love story that depicts a hidden fairy tale with a happy ending. The lines written for this drama is pretty sweet. WARNING : Lots of promises were made. I have to admit I was very much enticed by the very sweet yet manly voice of the male lead, Ming Dao.

Tiramisu from Gusto
Today, thou' exhausted from work for the past 2 weeks, I managed to pull myself together to deep fry some CNY goodie - Cripsy Mini Pork Floss Rolls.
This CNY goodie is my fave & is not easily available in the market.
Those u often see in the Chinatown pasar malam is normally made of shrimp...
I dun like spicy shrimps or belacan. Another factor is I am a bit allergic to seafood.
So cuz of the low in supply, I decided to make it by myself.
Tis pork floss is more difficult to make cuz it easily burns & can taste bitter when burnt.
Oso pork floss is more expensive than shrimps... The cost for shrimps is lower so more common...
Then the whole process is oso very tedious thus alot of ppl dun make this to sell...
Even if they do sell this, it will be very expensive in the market.
I woke at abt 11am due to Mum's naggin abt Yoyo (my bunny).
Despite my flu & sore throat, I went ahead to do it.
After lunch, I took some flu medcine & felt so drowsy... Haiz... Terrible... Gotta make myself stay awake thru out the whole day man...
Step 1 : Thawed the popiah skin. Remove from package & cover the skin with a damp cloth after it is removed from the package.
Step 2 : Beat egg.
Step 3 : Cut one piece of popiah skin into 16 smaller pieces.
Step 4 : Place pork floss in the middle of the skin.
Step 5 : Roll once then fold in the corners. Then roll again until a little bit of skin is left.
Step 6 : Apply beaten egg on the little tail of the remainder skin. Finish off by rolling all the way. (The tail shud stick to the mini roll. If not apply more beaten egg to seal the ending or any gap formed.)
Step 7 : Heat wok of oil till hot. (Use a wooden chopstick to test temp. If oil bubble when chopstick is inserted, the temp is rit.) Use medium heat then. (Note : If oil is not hot enuff, it will enter the mini roll instead of deep frying it.)
Step 8 : Drop mini roll in by batches. (Do not put in slowly as they will take diff time to turn golden brown then.)
Step 9 : Deep fry for abt 1 min - 2 min or until golden brown. (Do not use high heat as it will burnt the mini rolls in abt 30 sec.)
Step 10 : Remove from wok & drain. After cooling, store in air tight container for freshness.
Haha... I believe in 'If u wanna eat, u gotta do it.'
I am not lazy when it comes to food & goodies... Hahahaha...
Cut the pieces into 16 smaller pieces
Place pork floss in the middle
Roll & seal with beaten egg
Deep-fry by batch
Drain & Cool it before Storing
Store in air-tight container
As for my job updates, I am confused by my self oso.
One day I feel that the job is good. The next day I will think is bad.
Good when I think of all the benefits. Bad when I get scoldings due to mistakes I made.
I tink I make a lot of progress le... In less than 2 weeks, I learnt to do payments, closings, & serving customers with all the complicated softwares & this job of mine requires me to be on high alerts all the time. Like stock broking lidat... I am going crazy soon...
The worst thing is if u meet unreasonable customer. I receive a call yesday. He ask me why JTC dun rent to Singaporeans. I told him it's a scheme for housing of foreign talents. He then rebutted that foreigners so wat? Big meh? I say no but he refused to listen. Then he kept asking me for an explanation but refused to gimme a chance to talk. Then he ended by saying he is going out now. I asked 'Go where?' He said HDB. He wanna hold me responsible if HDB says he can apply at JTC. I said 'Go ahead.' If HDB does says that, I chop my head down. He hung up. FUCK HIM!!!
Yet the most pressurising ting is that I cant memorise my T.A.
Everytime I see Pauline explain the T.A to the customers, I juz cun get it rit. Haiz...
I oso lost my foot whenever I tried to do application. I always get the things messed up...
Application is the most difficult thing I have to learnt on my job.
It involved serving the customers, letting them choose the location/flat they wanted to rent. Followed by zapping all their related documents then explaining all the undertaking letters & letting them sign & fill up all the related forms. Then have to fax the form over to banks & pub. Then type their T.A. After typing comes the worst part, the explaining of the T.A. I always get my facts wrong u see... Haiz... Then lastly is the payment. After the customers left, I still have to do follow-ups-updating the system, get everything ready b4 letting finance manager stamp the T.A b4 it can be sent out to the tenant. The most tramatising part is the explanation of the T.A.
I took my 'homework' home for the weekend, hoping that I have time to revise it.
I have spent one whole day on mini rolls now.
I am left with tml to check all my bank acct, then fix the wiring in my room, then clean my Yoyo, then feed Yoyo, Then cook beehoon, then read the storybooks I borrowed, jotting down the quotes that I like for my blogs in future if I have time to revamp it. In the meantime, I plan to write it in my precious notebook 1st. Next time then take out to refer to & revamp the blog when I have time. Haiz...
Yah... I lost abt 90% of my time online. I online fortnightly now...
Last nite I checked my hotmail & was shocked that my acct is suspended. when I got it back all my mails were gone!!!
Shall con't again. Damn tired now. I pray I can be well by Mon. Or else I will need to go see doc on Mon le... But Mon I have some tasks to do leh... Haiz... Pauline is off on Mon. I wonder if Catherine & Irene can handle anot... Heng all the statements are all sent out le... So now less of one tasks le... Was franked yesday & sent out... But yesday, I saw the very miser side of boss Alan. Haiz... So not gentlemenly when it comes to monetary issues... He oso refused to take over the mails I am holding as he is going in the MRT direction but me going to take bus... Only MRT got letterbox. Lucky Don is nice enuff to help me. :) Yah... Yesday is farewell dinner for Don plus 'Loh Hei'. But boss very 'mao', refused to pay, asked boss San san to pay... :(
After the event, I went to meet Shirley they all for dessert at Fulleton One.

W.R.T my job, I have nuttin' much to say, itz juz plain sucky.
Wat to do? If I dun accept it, mum is gonna burst my eardrum.
But my mum has got new complaints, she tink I too hack care abt my job.
She ask me why I never bother to find out impt things w.r.t my job. (eg. When is pay day?)
I told her I simply dun care, as long as I did my job, I know I will get my pay at the end of the mth when everyone gets it. I told her crudely, "If it wasnt for YOU, I would not set foot in EM." I hope this will stop her probing.
And pls God, get her a job as well...
If not, at least let her have other issues to take care of. But dun make life difficult for her pls...
Why I seldom blog?
I know I will lessen my time online with this new job. Indeed, I lost abt 80% of my time spent online as compared to the past.
I work 8.30am to 6pm.
No time to even stop for a breather or toilet breaks, let alone say fone calls & internet.
My office internet access p.w is still under process. So no MSN for me in the day.
I work 6 days a week.
Despite the long hrs, I have to spent time travelling to work.
I woke up at 6.30am, leave hse at 7.45am, reach office at 8.25am.
The office attdence system is late by 10 min, so I knock off at 6.10pm.
By the time, I reach home is abt 7+pm.
Have dinner, watch abit of TV, clean my rabbit up, then watch TV till 10pm.
Light out. Radio on sleep mode, normally 1/2 hr. Hopefully can zZz by 11pm...
If not I wun have enough zZz, & my nxt day at the office will be terrible cuz I cant conc or absorb anything that is taught to me.
Job is sucky cuz of long hrs, no weekend off, low pay (after CPF is $1,040), loads of paper work & talking to do & irregular lunch time (based on workload).
I have paper cuts all the time. Haiz...
& I entertain calls for enquiry on standby mode.
I fumble up all paper work's procedure.
Alot of memory work is needed on this job.
Cannot make mistakes. Grave consequences.
Deals with cash & payments.
One-leg-kick aka 'Bao Ga Liao'.
My area includes serving customers, answering enquiries to registering applications to updating details to filing & achiving to follow-up & renewal to payments to closings. (aka Cust Svc Officer cum Admin Staffs to Cashier)
The pros of this job is stability (stable income & secure job), conveniency (one-trip to office), friendliness of the staffs, interesting jobscope (ask me & I can tell u loads of stories), long lunch breaks (1 1/2 - 2hr) with short shopping trips to NTUC in JE etc)
Cons : Exhausted & Drained. Suck out of my life.
Always DEAD at the end of the day like juz fin fighting a battle lidat esp mth end period & some more near CNY. By the way I start work on Chu San.
By the way, gtg... Very EXHAUSTED now...

Regarding Daniel's Story, I think it will be better that I don't post it here.
I gotta respect his privacy afterall.
Yap! I met Dan today for coffee.
Well... He sms me at ard 8.30pm & ask me if I am free for coffee.
Since I happen to be outside & in the area, I agreed. I also jio Peixuan, Jinmei, Ruyin, Shujing & Peiyi, but no one else turned up. Cuz too last min le lah...
Dan is good at all these last min outing lah... & I guess I am the only one who can cater to such. Cuz I myself dun like my life to be plan either. My another good fren, Kaiwai, shud know this best. We are the same type of ppl. Likes to do things last min. W/o a fixed timeframe set to a date is the best. Cuz we both understand that if no time is set, no one is bound to be late cuz u can take all the time u want.
Eg. If I plan to go out with u @ 1pm, I reached at 3pm. I am late by 2 hrs.
But if I called u up & say 'Hey! Wanna go shopping this afternoon?', then reached at 3pm, no one is late. But u gotta put a time range, say afternoon. [before 9am morning; 9-11am late morning; 11-1pm noon; 1-3pm afternoon; 3-5pm late afternoon; 5-7pm evening; 7pm onwards nite.] Then Xian Dao Xian Deng. I will call up to find out where u are. Turns out u are oso 'reaching soon'. All is happy. Timing is perfectly coordinated. But then hor... It takes a bit of Mo Qi to do this. In fact, u & ur frenz have to be so close that u know all his/her bad habits. But I always believe that Practice makes perfect. Do it a few times & u get the hang of it.
However too bad lah... All my other frenz need advanced notice or, worse, booking before we can meet up juz plainly for a lunch/dinner out or gathering.
I dun mean grp outing u know... Grp outing I can understand lah... Cuz need to compromise the timing so that the most no. of ppl will turn up. But some frenz of mine really need booking up to 3 mths in advance juz to 'see' him only lo... How ridiculous is that? I shall not go on on this or else it will take forever.
Back to meeting Dan for coffee...
Cuz he is riding up to KL in his new bike & he happen to meet his frenz in Chinatown b4 going, so he jio me...
He told me he wud reach KL at ard 3am, but he logged into MSN at 1+am...
Out of curiosity, I ask him why. Turns out that his buddy/bro forgets his passport, so end up gotta postpone it till next week. Blur buddy... Hahaha...

Actually is wanna go there cut do my hair one, end up they are fully booked till after CNY. Can only blame myself for it lo...
I wanted to get this concert version of Anita Mui for very long le... But no $$$...
Think this whole mth spend alot... Other than my TV and room stuffs, I gotta prepare for work. So have to change my wardrobe to less girlish tees...
TV, Home theatre set, TV cabinet, Office-wear, Grocery-shopping, Nitty Gritty stuffs, now even dinner with parents oso I pay... WTH!
So today I called up Small Uncle to ask wat time they are delivering it tml lo...
He says 11-2pm. Shud I say "so excited"?
I have waited till my spirit is no longer up anymore.
Somemore I oso dun wan Samsung one... I make a mistake lah... I shud order JVC one... Haiz... Anyway order liaoz then nvm lo... Some more cheaper by $50 yet features all the same. I keok tio sai liaoz lah... Juz that Samsung speakers are smaller lo... Maybe not very lasting lo... Not bad le lah... Mai Hiam Buay Pai lah...

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICES
Designation : Customer Relations Assistant
Date of appointment : 24 Jan 2005
This appointment is for two-year and it subject to renewal upon expiry.
- ANNUAL LEAVE
- You shall be entitled to fourteen days annual leave per calender year. This entitlement is to be prorated for an employee who has served not less than three months of service.
- Employee who has served less than three months of service shall not be eligible for any annual leave.
- Can carry forward not more than fifty per cent of leave to the following year. Any excess leave will be deemed as forfeited.
- COMPASSIONATE LEAVE
- Three consecutive days paid compassionate leave for confirmed emplyee to attend to family matters upon death of any of his/her immediate family members.
- Immediate family is defined as parents, spouse, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents and parents-in-law only.
- MARRIAGE LEAVE
- Confirmed employee is entitled to to one day paid marriage leave for every completed year of service up to a maximun of three working days on the occasion of their first legal marriage.
- Marriage leave must be consumed within one month of registered or customary marriage.
- MATERNITY LEAVE
- Confirmed female employee is entitled to twelve weeks maternity leave commencing not earlier than four weeks immediately preceding the day of her confinement or not later than the day of confinement.
- In line with government's policy, paid maternity is up to the 2nd child.
- For the 3rd and 4th confinement, she is entitled to twelve weeks paid maternity leave subject to a maximun payment of $30,000 including CPF contributions.
- SICK LEAVE
- A maximun of fourteen days per year if no hospitalisation is necessary.
- A maximun of sixty days per year if hospitalisation is necessary.
- MEDICAL LEAVE
- $10 per outpatient treatment up to a maximun of $200 per year inclusive of dependent's outpatient medical claims.
- A dependent shall be defined as:-
- the wife and dependent unmarried child (or children) including a step child and legally adopted child, under the age of 18 years, of a male employee; and
- the child (or children) similarly defined of an employee who is divorced, widowed or legally separated and is the sole supporter of the family.
- NTUC hospitalisation coverage
- INSURANCE
- Covered by workmen's compensation/work accident insurance.
- OVERTIME CLAIM
- NO overtime claim or meeting allowance but given time off in-lieu of overtime.
- BONUS
- Annual wage supplement (13th month) plus variable bonus depending on the performance of the company and employee.
- Only confirmed employee as at 31 Mar is eligible for the variable bonus bonus.
- Staff who is not a confirmed employee as at 31 Dec would be eligible for a prorated annual wage supplement (13th month) based on his/her date of appointment.
Some chim words :
- Pro-rated : Divided, distributed, or assessed proportionately.
- Settled affairs on the basis of proportional distribution
Thou I do not understand this clause "Confirmed female employee is entitled to twelve weeks maternity leave commencing not earlier than four weeks immediately preceding the day of her confinement or not later than the day of confinement.", I have sign my letter of appointment. Heeheehee...
