Kaez, I know I am getting a little bit over with this artiste.
I wanted to intro her long ago but then it slips my mind all the time. By the time, I remember again, it is almost exam time liao, so that explains why I am so eager to intro it.
In case u all start to say...
"Eh... Who the hell is Kait talking about?"
And in case u find it all too troublesome to click on the links.
I shall give u more infos here.
Corrine May is our local singer but her music is based more in L.A. (more of the Arts side then the Pop genre)
Corrine's song 'Journey' is featured in the popular Taiwanese idol drama serial Dolphin Bay Lovers a.k.a Hai Tun Wan Lian Ren.
Singer Angela Zhang Shao Han lends her vocals to this song, as heard on the series.
Corrine May also recorded a cover version of the classic Burt Bacharach song 'Close to You' for the Cloumbia Tristar Movie - So Close, which starred Karen Mok, Shu Qi & Vicki Zhao Wei as leading actresses in the film. The film was released world-wide in May 2003.
"If you Didn't Love Me", a song by Corrine May co-wrote with Carole Bayer Sager and Carole King, is recorded by 17-year-old UK recording artist Zoe for the audiophile record label, Digital Theatre Systems records.
I first know her as Corrine May with a very nice soulsearching song called "Fly Away".
Very inspiring esp during exams...
It is until very much later when I was talking to a Senior one nite on MSN during the exam period that has just passed, when he intro me the 'IN' music in Australia at that time, that we actually came across her name again when I told him about this piece of soothing music to listen to, esp during the exam times. He did a Goggles Search on her & found out that she is actually a local & that her song is featured in the OST of 'So Close' which will be premiering on Channel 8 this Xmas nite.
K lah... Tink I shall stop here before I kena throw bad eggs upon. :D
If wanna go to support her @ the esplanade, let me know lo¡
I seeya there...
P/S:
There is some typing errors is the post above. I apologised.
