I dun mind doing volunteer work.

Yesterday, I caught a local news that says the government is thinkong of implementing a new law.

Banning smoking in more public area - hawker centres & pubs/clubs.

I am delighted.

Sorry to all smokers out there.

But I am sort of allergic to smoke.

Call me selfish.

I know u smokers have 'reasons' for smoking.

U oso wanna fight for ur freedom in smoking.

But u muz know, I am not a willing party for passive smoking.

So does alot of non-smokers out there like me.

U may grumble that becuz of us, non-smokers keep complaining, u guys have lesser space for smoking.

But have u consider that we have put up with flying smoke when we are consuming our food?

All of us have our own stand.

My stand is I am more than happy if this new rule is implemented.

I will open champagne to celebrate.

I hope it will not take 10 years to implement this law.

Today's local news that caught my attn is infuriating!

A gal who applied for a transfer of sch was refused entry when the sch saw that she is overweight!

The new sch approved her application for a transfer of sch.

But when the gal went down to sign the consent letter, the principal is shocked to see her build.
She refused her application due to the following reason:

I wanna let u know that being OVERWEIGHT is not our FAULT.
We also do not wish to be a ugly, fat dinosaur!!
If given a choice, which gal dun wan to be pretty & slim??
Tell me & I will go confront her...
If she exists, comestic muz be the biggest joke in the world of creation/invention.

Dun tell me is becuz I did not take care of my diet & exercise & all those fuckin' bullshits.
I dun take that. I believe that all ppl have the rights to lead the life the way they wan it. Be it healthy or not...

Some ppl are inherited overweight.

I know I am not inherited overweight.

But pls respect the way we lead our life.

The sch took back the gal after the mum complain abt it.
How unwilling is this sch man...
Is this wat we Chinese call 'Bu Jian Guan Cai Bu Diao Lei'?
(Translation: We do not cry/worry until the coffin is displayed in front of us.)
I hope that sch will reflect.
How can u worry abt upsetting the number of overweight students in the sch & took away a chance for the gal to study? Why does the gal wanna switch to your sch? She muz have a reason for doing so, if not why does she wan to go to your sch? U tink it's for fun? Imagine all the paperwork she gotta go thru... Wat a selfish reason, SCHOOL!!

If u say is becuz she did not pass mathematics, then teach until she passes! That is what a school is for!! School teaches us VALUES. How good is this sch morally? This sch failed Civics & Moral, I tell u... I rem I fail my History all the time. But Mr Joseph never gives up hope on me, even till the last min. That is wat I call a good teacher. She is so young, only 15. It's not like she is 50 & cant be taught well to pass maths. U din even give her that chance to learn.

Last but not least, I hope an explanation is given even though the sch have 'accepted' the gal & the gal have decided to let thismatter rest.

If I am her, my pride will go way beyond.
I wun BEG this sch to take me in.
